Clubs & Associations
At Cathedral, we believe that motivating students to come together voluntarily on the basis of their special interests and aptitudes in a club setting is a powerful impetus to the overall development of personality. The numerous clubs, associations and special interest groups in both the Sciences and the Humanities make this a reality.

The Science Club helps members let their curiosity lead them to deeper questions about nature and technology and gain insights through special lectures by eminent scientists, visits to research institutions and through exposure to audio-visual documentaries as well as the internet.

The Electronics Club brings together students with an avid interest in assembling electronic gadgets of diverse kinds.

Cathedral also offers training in the dance traditions of India. Indian classical dance, with an emphasis on Bharatha Natyam, is taught by accomplished dancers. Interested students are prepared for public performances. Every major school function showcases at least one performance of Indian classical dance.

The Music and Film Appreciation Club opens up to its members the rich world of artistry and technique in the varied traditions of music and cinema. Members watch concerts on DVD and enhance their aesthetic outlook by discussing the nuances of the performance. Exposure to the varied genres of cinematic art also sharpens critical and analytical abilities while also bringing about aesthetic delight. The classics of world cinema engage the minds of members and help make them more sophisticated viewers as they imbibe the standards set by the greatest directors of all times.
Cathedral also has the unique distinction of playing recorded music during breaks at a gentle, unobtrusive volume. The music is piped into every part of the campus. The soothing effect of music acts as a powerful subconscious stress-reliever and helps create a peaceful mood conducive to creative thought.
