Cathedral has always been known for its distinguished teachers. This is attested to by the alumni, who keep recalling their teachers long after graduation and often drop in to see how they are doing. The teachers here are steeped in the educational philosophy of the institution, according to which the teacher is not a cold professional dispensing knowledge but an inspirer and challenger who helps his or her students to actualize their full physical, intellectual, creative and moral potential. To this end they are constantly updating their knowledge and skills through active participation in seminars and workshops and through refresher courses.
