The many buildings on campus offer excellent facilities to Cathedralites: spacious well-lit and well-furnished classrooms, well-equipped laboratories for all the science disciplines, audio-visual rooms and seminar rooms, computer rooms equipped with the latest and most sophisticated systems, a very big library, a large auditorium that can seat a thousand people, a multipurpose pavilion, a playing area with the latest play equipment for the K.G. children, a multipurpose gym and, of course, the Pettigrew Playing Field, the school's vast playground. Its rich green turf always brimming with sports and games, is a veritable feast for the eye. The constantly trimmed grass plays no small part in keeping young adventurous limbs free from bruises! Laid out on the fast side of the Pettigrew Field are a large and well equipped swimming pool and a fine basketball court. With a 200 metre athletics track, the Pettigrew field is the ideal venue for a variety of sporting events.
Every care is taken to provide kindergarten children with the best play ware available. They enjoy specially imported play equipment guaranteed to provide endless hours of delight in a pleasant outdoor ambience. The play area is a specially marked off space, where great attention is paid to safety, cleanliness and attractiveness. At Cathedral, we firmly believe that children learn and develop a host of vital physical, mental and social skills when they are at play: psychomotor skills, bodily kinesthetics, physical agility, team work and leadership.
